Chaffee County Judge Patrick Murphy has disqualified himself from the barry morphew murder trial due to his connections with lawyers in the case. Morphew had previously disqualified himself from a case involving Shoshana Darke, who has connections to Morphew. Murphy said in a motion that he had a long-time friendship with an attorney who has represented Darke. The court system says a new judge will be appointed to the case by January 7th.
