COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Colorado Springs Police are keeping an eye on the Memorial Park area following the shooting death of 14-year-old Desmond Smith over the weekend.
Within the last month, police have responded to 41 disorderly or violent calls in that vicinity.
Park officials say leaving the park at closing time and following all other rules would go a long way to preventing more crime. Three men are under arrest in connection with Saturday’s shooting.
