A 5 year old boy died Wednesday afternoon in a 3 car crash near I-25 and South Academy. An SUV ran a red light going west on Academy and hit a pickup truck exiting southbound I-25. 4 people were inside the SUV. 3 were ejected, including a 5 year old boy who died in the crash. The others have serious but non-life threatening injuries. Fountain police believe the s-u-v driver had drugs in their system. The occupants of the truck also went to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No identities have been released and no word yet on any criminal charges.
