Shelter in place order canceled in northeast Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS – A shelter in place order has now been canceled after neighbors just east of Chapel Hills Dr. and south of the Briargate Pkwy. got a rude awakening at 2:50 a.m. Tuesday morning. CSPD was called to a home on the 2400 block of Linehall Drive after neighbors reported hearing gunshots at a home.

When officers arrived, the person inside refused to come outside. CSPD says they made it clear that they’d wait as long as they had to. At about 6:15 a.m., police sent another emergency notification to the neighborhood, letting them know the order to shelter in place was canceled.

So far, police have not offered any details about what happened or who was involved.
