The Centers for Disease Control has made a change to some covid guidance this morning. The CDC has removed a recommendation that people quarantine if they are near someone who’s infected with the virus. The agency says this is due in part to increased immunity to covid, from vaccination and exposure. The agency says the status of the pandemic is much different than it was back in 2020. Also, CDC officials say it’s not necessary to say six feet away from others out of caution. While many areas have already moved on from social distancing requirements, the agency’s change in stance could help schools this fall.
