Springs Postmaster Faces Sex Assault Charges

Stevenson Begay, the postmaster for Colorado Springs, will be in court on January 17th, facing charges of sexual assault. The Denver District Attorney filed the case yesterday. Last month, Denver Police headed to a call at a hotel about a possible sexual assault. A victim told officers that Begay had come to her room — and she had told him she was uncomfortable. She texted some friends for help, and when they knocked on the door — Begay allegedly opened the door shirtless and possibly intoxicated. The victim claims Begay forcibly removed her clothes and touched her. Police took him into custody that night.
