A Fountain Police officer was injured last night, after a fall off of a bridge following a car chase. We are expecting an update on the condition of the Fountain officer and situation later today. This started around 8 p.m. on February 2nd, according to officials with the City of Fountain. Multiple agencies were involved in a chase with a suspect vehicle, and the driver was accused of multiple felonies. The pursuit ended at Hartford and South Academy. Officials say a suspect stepped out of the car, and while a Fountain officer was trying to apprehend them — the officer fell off a bridge located at the intersection. The officer fell about 30 feet, and was left in critical condition. They were flown by helicopter to a hospital. Police say that three suspects were apprehended after the incident.
