Denver students demand an end to gun violence after the death of a classmate

DENVER-Some Denver high school students walked out of class Friday and headed to the Colorado State Capital to demand an end to gun violence. The protest was prompted by the recent shooting death of 16-year-old Louise Garcia, who was shot on February 13th while he was inside a parked car near East High School in Denver. Garcia passed away on Wednesday, and now his classmates say they are demanding change from lawmakers. A motive for the shooting isn’t known at this time. Investigators say two juveniles are in custody, but they have not been charged at this point.
