COLORADO SPRINGS-The Colorado Springs Police Department is asking for help in a 20-year-old cold case. On March 16th, 2003, fire crews were called to a residence on Constitution Avenue after receiving reports of smoke billowing from the home. When they arrived, they found the bodies of 84-year-old Annabelle Leonard and her 48-year-old son Thomas Leonard. Investigators say the mother and son were stabbed to death, and they believe the fire was to cover up their murders. In addition, police say the home looked as though it had been ransacked.
