Ballot Tests Underway in Colorado Springs

Ballots are out for the City of Colorado Springs municipal election. There are multiple vacancies in city government. Election officials are already testing equipment. City Clerk Sarah Johnson says that test ballots have been run through polling machines to ensure they’re being read accurately. She says that her office aims for 100% accuracy. On the ballot, there are 12 candidates for mayor. There are three at-large city council seats open, and a vacancy needs to be filled for the remainder of Council District 3’s current term.
