Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office

A retired Denver Police Officer is under arrest after allegedly pointing a gun at a man in the food court at a Littleton shopping mall. Witnesses report that 67-year-old Martin Vigil was arguing with another individual when he pointed the weapon at the victim. Jefferson County authorities arrived and convinced Vigil to put down the gun. The investigation revealed the two men argued on a bus earlier in the day, and when Vigil got off the bus, he left his phone behind. According to investigators, Vigil then called his phone, and the victim answered and told Vigil he would return the phone in exchange for money and the two agreed to meet in the food court. Deputies say no shots were fired, and no injuries were reported.
