A 19-year-old accused of plotting multiple mass shootings at schools and churches in southern Colorado appeared in an Elbert County courtroom court Monday. William Whitworth—who identifies as Lily—has pleaded guilty to assault in the second degree and is scheduled for sentencing on January 19th. Whitworth was taken into custody in March after a family member told authorities that Whitworth was planning several shootings. Officials with the 18th judicial district say Whitworth faces a maximum of 16 years in prison.
