Two People Arrested in Pueblo Thanks to “ShopSpotter” System

PUEBLO POLICE TOOK TWO PEOPLE INTO CUSTODY YESTERDAY IN CONNECTION TO A DRIVE BY SHOOTING. OFFICIALS SAY THE POLICE USED THE “SHOTSPOTTER” SYSTEM WHICH DETECTS GUNSHOTS AROUND THE CITY. AROUND 2:15 A.M. THE SYSTEM PICKED UP GUN FIRE ON EAST 14TH STREET. WHILE OFFICERS WERE INVESTIGATING THE SCENE, A CAR CRASH, INVOLVING A CAR MATCHING THE SUSPECTS VEHICLE DESCRIPTION WAS REPORTED JUST 5 MILES AWAY. THE TWO SUSPECTS INVOLVED IN THE SHOOTING, 22 YEAR OLD TIMOTHY ROY AND 19 YEAR OLD CYRUS HIGHAWK WERE ARRESTED ON SUSPICION OF ATTEMPTED MURDER.
