New 15 Million dollar Substation Proposed by El Paso County Sheriff’s Office

THE EL PASO COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE IS PROPOSING A NEW SUBSTATION IN THE CITY OF FALCON. THE NEW BUILDING IS ESTIMATED TO COST 15 MILLION DOLLARS AND BE AROUND 10,000 SQ FT. THE EL PASO COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAYS THIS NEW BUILDING WILL HELP REDUCE CRIME DUE TO A LARGER PRESENCE OF LAW ENFORCEMENT BEING READILY AVAILABLE IN THE AREA TO RESPOND TO ACTIVE SITUATIONS. THE BUILDING WILL INCLUDE INTERVIEW ROOMS AND  2 HOLDING CELLS. A VOTE ON THE PROPOSAL WILL BE HELD BY COUNTY COMMISONERS ON APRIL 9TH.
