A House Fire Displaces Family and Several Pets in Colorado Springs

A HOUSE FIRE DISPLACED A FAMILY AND THEIR PETS EARLY SUNDAY MORNING IN COLORADO SPRINGS. CSFD WERE CALLED TO A FIRE A AT SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE IN A NEIGHBORHOOD NEAR AIRPORT AND UNION. THE FIRE STARTED ON THE EXTERIOR OF THE HOUSE AND WAS QUICKLY EXTINGUISHED. OFFICIALS ORIGINALLY THOUGHT THE FAMILY WOULD BE ABLE TO STAY IN THE HOME BECAUSE THEIR WASN’T MUCH DAMAGE INSIDE, BUT LATER DETERMINED THE STRUCTURE WASN’T SAFE AND THE FAMILY AND THEIR 6 PETS WOULD BE DISPLACED. ONE PERSON WAS TREATED FOR MINOR SMOKE INHALATION. THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE IS CURRENTLY UNDER INVESTIGATION.
