In Denver an investigation is underway at the Colorado Department of Human Services. An outside agency has been brought in by the state to look at complaints made by current and former staff members. State officials are also questioning the payment of millions of dollars of settlement money to personnel that have left the agency. According to the Denver Post the department’s leadership created a toxic and poor work environment. Numerous complaints have been made by current and former workers. They claim leadership at human services was, according to the Post, “abusive, inappropriate and demeaning.
