Fire growth has slowed in the Aspen Acres fire. It’s just shy of 102 thousand acres with 67% containment. Fire fighters are trying to get a better idea of how large the fire is on its western side. That’s the direction causing the most issues. Most of the containment is on the north, east and south side. Drones will be sent up to better map the fire on that western edge, where the fire is burning in very rugged terrain.
