A demonstration Wednesday in front of Colorado Springs School District 11 headquarters calling for accountability and transparency. An ombudsman accused the Deputy District Superintendent Brandon Comfort of breaking into her office and stealing a file of personnel complaints from district employees about the Superintendent Michael Gall. A 3rd party investigation said there was no wrongdoing. That ombudsman has filed a lawsuit against the district. Supporters were also demanding the district reinstate teacher Dr. Angelica Givler Vyers, who was suspended almost a year go for what the district says was activities related to a 1 day teacher strike. Vyers is demanding the school board suspend Gaal and Comfort, like they did her. A hearing officer has recommended Vyers be reinstated.
