1 person was killed and 5 others seriously injured in a 2 car accident Wednesday afternoon. A car northbound on Academy was turning onto Lehman drive when it was hit by a car heading southbound on Academy. Springs police say the 6 people in the cars were all hurt. 1 person died. The other 5 remain hospitalized in serious condition. Police say the southbound vehicle ran a red light, causing the accident. They also say speed was a factor.
