BOUNCE BACK WEEK

After being away for almost a month, the Air Force Football team finds itself home for a Friday night matchup against San Jose State. And if you thought this game was just going to be a speed bump for the Falcons, guess again. The Spartans went into Fayetteville and stunned Arkansas (yes SEC Arkansas) 31-24…MORE

SEIZE THE MOMENT

Friday Night the Air Force football team rolls into Boise to face the Boise State Broncos. The Falcons are confident, hungry and intent on parlaying their win over Colorado into a 2 game winning streak and making a statement that they are a threat for the Conference title.  Boise State? Confident, hungry and intent on…MORE

A TRUE TEST

There is a lot of buzz about Saturdays Air Force Football game in Boulder against the CU Buffs. And for good reason. The Falcons have played plenty of Power 5 schools in recent history (see Michigan, Michigan State, Oklahoma) but Saturdays game against Colorado feels different. It’s more than just facing a Pac 12 school.…MORE

SHOWTIME….

After what seems like months of scrimmages and practices the Air Force Football season finally kicks off Saturday afternoon against FCS school Colgate at 130 on 740 KVOR. It’s a traditional FCS opener for the Falcons during Parents Weekend. But a game that carries more importance than just Game 1 on the schedule. After back…MORE

TOURNAMENT TIME

Las Vegas…..The Mountain West Mens Basketball Tournament opens Wednesday, and for the Air Force Falcons this tournament and this year, is so different. For this team, more than any other squad in the tournament, the next week is a chance to show they really are better. 8 conference wins was a step forward this season.…MORE

What’s Next

So, we talked in this space about Air Force taking the next step with its basketball program by beating a good team on the road. So they roll in to Fresno State and come out with a 3 point win. After taking care of San Jose State next Saturday, the next challenge awaits-winning 3 straight…MORE

THE GLASS CEILING…

Another great effort by the Air Force Basketball team in Las Vegas Tuesday night against U-N-L-V.  A tight game, tense moments, and a chance, as it turned out, to be tied for 5th in the conference with a win. And, and, and….another road loss. This Falcon Basketball team has shown improvement, but has been inconsistent.…MORE

Crossroads

After the Falcons were blown out at home against Colorado State Saturday February 2nd I drove home wondering what’s next for this team. They had won 4 of 5 MW games, with the lone loss a respectable showing against #6 Nevada. They played a poor first half against San Diego State and lost by 15,…MORE

Falcons a Force

Don’t look now, (and it’s still early in conference play) but the Air Force Men’s Basketball team has really started to come together and play the type of ball Dave Pilipovich envisioned coming into the season. Another home double digit conference victory January 22nd, beating Boise State 74-60.  I asked Pilipovich what the difference has…MORE

WOW…….

1-16-19…The night at Clune Arena the Air Force Men’s Basketball announced to the rest of the Mountain West Conference it has the potential to make life absolutely miserable for any team they face the rest of the season. The 106-88 win over UNLV set a school record for points against a conference foe. The dismantling…MORE
