The Department of Justice has announced a man died Monday at the U.S. Penitentiary in Florence. The DOJ identified the man as 55 year old George Hall who was an inmate. He had arrived in Florence on August 6th after being sentenced to 10 years in prison after being found guilty of assault with a dangerous weapon. He was found unconscious and despite life-saving efforts died. No cause of death has been released.
