El Paso County officials have received a site plan from Buc-ee’s Travel Center in their ongoing effort to build at I-25 and County Line Road. Buc-ees bought land at that location after failing to work out an annexation plan with Palmer Lake. County officials will study the proposal to see if it meets building and other tech requirements for the site. The plan can be approved without El Paso County commissioners voting on it. And there is no appeals process available for those against the plan. But there are other steps that must be approved for Buc-ee’s to eventually begin construction.
