An 80 year old Colorado Springs man accused of killing his wife in 2024 is in court as his trial begins. Steven Chan is accused of shooting his 54 year old wife and dumping her body in a field. KKTV 11 news says arrest papers show the suspect killed his wife because she had been having an affair. He told police he started planning her death after he says she took cooking utensils and other items from him. The defense offered a plea deal which the prosecution turned down. Chan has pled not guilty.
