A driving school in Colorado Springs is being investigated for fraud. The “Academy School of Driving” was shut down last week by the Department of Motor Vehicles, accused of charging hundreds of dollars to give students passing grades, limiting 15 minute state mandated driving tests to 5 minutes and allegedly changing incorrect answers on tests to help students pass. The Colorado Department of Motor Vehicles reportedly opened an investigation into the school in November of last year. The DMV is also accusing officials of submitting false data. Officials say some 460 students who received their licenses through the school will have them revoked and must take new classes. It’s unknown if any criminal charges will be filed against instructors or school officials.
