The Air Force Academy will do an about-face and restore 26 civilian faculty positions that at one time were eliminated. That news was announced Wednesday night in a letter from the Secretary of the Air Force Troy Meink to 5th district Congressman Jeff Crank, who posted that letter on social media. In the letter the Air Force Secretary also says the academy is getting an exemption to a hiring freeze and will potentially add on other faculty and training instructors. Crank notes he and senator John Hicklenlooper have worked for months to get the academy to add positions to better support the schools military mission.
