At a meeting scheduled for August 27th El Paso County Commissioners will decide if Buc-ee’s Travel Center should be considered a convenience store. Buc-ee’s bought land at I-25 and County Line Road and asked the planning and community development director to make that designation so it can build on the land which is zoned for a convenience store. The development director said he couldn’t make that determination. Buc-ee’s will now appeal directly to county commissioners at that meeting, which will be open to the public.
