The El Paso County Sheriff’s office says they have stopped using Flock safety cameras. The Flock system has come under fire from people who are concerned about the camera’s automated license plate readers and how that information is used and who it may be shared with. The Sherif’fs office says the stopped using the system immediately and have sent the company notice they are ending their relationship. Sheriff Joe Roybal says he is concerned about the future of the system because of legislative changes coming in Colorado. Roybal added discontinued use of the system will not affect public safety.
