Monday night 22 planes were diverted from Denver International Airport to Colorado Springs because of very windy conditions. A cold front making its way through Colorado brought winds up to 40 miles per hour forcing officials at DIA to reroute those planes to the spring’s airport. The turbulence was so bad 5 people needed medical treatment, and 1 person had to be sent to the hospital.
